Play Dough Recipe

Dry Ingredients:                             Wet Ingredients:
2 ½ Cups Flour                                         2 Cups Boiling Water
½ Cup Salt                                               1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1 Tablespoon Cream of Tartar                  1 Teaspoon Food Coloring
                                                               3 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil, plus ½ Teaspoons
 
1.      Put water in a small sauce-pan and bring to a rapid boil.
2.      While water is coming to a boil:  Combine dry ingredients and mix
         thoroughly.  (Use a LARGE bowl.)
3.      Form a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
4.      Pour all oil in the well.
5.      As water comes to a boil in the sauce-pan, add food coloring
         and vanilla. 
6.      Slowly pour boiling water into the “oil well” in the center of 
         the bowl.
7.      Stir mixture with a wooden spoon.  This will become difficult,
         do the best you can.
8.      Let dough sit for a few minutes.
9.      Turn out dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes.
10.     Add small amounts of flour if dough is sticky.  Dough should not
         fall apart or stick to your hands.
 
Now have some fun!
Store in a zip-lock bag or air-tight container.
Discard after about a month.
